Editorial Policy

How GeniiDeals decides what appears in deal listings, coupon listings, and Money guides, and what those pages do and do not promise.

Last updated: 29 October 2026

What this policy covers

GeniiDeals publishes community deals, merchant and sponsor offers, local offers, coupon codes, and editorial Money guides for shoppers in Pakistan. Purchases, coupon redemptions, and financial products are completed on the retailer’s or provider’s own site, under their terms.

This page describes the checks the platform actually runs. Separate pages explain the deal listing process, the coupon listing process, and how the site is funded.

Where listings come from

  • Community members submit deals and coupons through the public submission forms.
  • Sponsor and merchant accounts submit offers that can be labeled as sponsored.
  • Staff can publish listings directly, including batch imports.
  • Local offers can carry a source link and a recorded status: unverified, source confirmed, needs review, or conflicting.

Moderation

Submissions from community members and from sponsor accounts stay pending until a moderator or admin approves or rejects them. A rejection includes a reason. Staff accounts can set a listing to approved when they publish it.

Approval means the listing met the review in place at the time it was published. It does not mean GeniiDeals bought the product or redeemed the code at the merchant’s checkout.

Labels you will see

  • “Verified on GeniiDeals” appears on a deal only when staff have set that flag. Other deals say “Listed store on GeniiDeals”.
  • A published coupon can show a verified label and the time since it was published. That label marks an approved listing. It is not a record of a checkout test.
  • Sponsored offers are labeled separately from community listings.
  • A price line can show a “price checked” time only when that timestamp is stored on the deal.

Money and financial content

GeniiDeals Money guides and product pages are editorial articles written for Pakistani readers. They compare fees, features, and eligibility using the figures stored in that content, together with a last-updated date on the page.

Those pages are not a live feed from a bank, and the scores shown there are editorial scores maintained by GeniiDeals. They are not an audited customer survey and not a rating published by the bank.

Before you apply for a card, account, loan, or investment product, confirm the current fee, profit rate, eligibility, and terms with the provider. GeniiDeals does not issue cards, open accounts, approve loans, or give personal financial advice.

Paid placements

Brands can buy sponsor packages and featured placements. Those offers are labeled. A paid package does not remove the pending review that applies to sponsor-account submissions, and it does not change the meaning of a verified label.

Shoppers can browse deals, copy codes, and save favorites without paying.

Corrections

Prices, stock, and promo terms change on the merchant’s site. When an expiry date is stored, the listing shows it, and expired local offers are removed from active city and category feeds.

Signed-in members can vote, comment, and report a listing or a comment. Moderators can reject a pending submission. Staff can stop a live deal or coupon, which removes it from the public catalog. If a community member or sponsor edits a live listing, it returns to pending until it is approved again. To flag a specific error, use Contact Support and include the page URL.
