Coupon Verification Process
How coupon codes are submitted, reviewed, and labeled. GeniiDeals does not redeem every code at the store’s checkout before listing it.

Who can submit a coupon
Community members can submit a store, a code, and the offer details they have. Sponsor accounts can submit coupons that are labeled as sponsored offers. Staff can also add coupons, including through a batch import.
Review before a coupon is public
Coupons from community members and sponsor accounts stay pending until a moderator or admin approves or rejects them. Rejected coupons are not published, and the submitter can be told why.
Only approved, active coupons are included in the public coupon catalog and on store pages.
Automated checks
When a code is submitted, GeniiDeals can check whether that store already has the same code, so duplicate listings are caught before another copy is added. That check compares codes already stored for the store. It does not apply the code on the merchant’s website.
If an expiry date was provided, the listing shows it. When no expiry is stored, the card leaves that date blank. The merchant can still end the offer.
What the verified label means
A published coupon card can show a verified mark and how long ago the coupon was published. For a coupon that is not sponsored, the card can also say “Community verified”. Those words mean the coupon is an approved public listing from the community or catalog workflow.
They do not mean a shopper or a moderator redeemed that code at checkout, and they do not mean every code in the catalog was tested by hand. Sponsored coupons are labeled “Sponsored offer” instead.
Confirm the code at checkout
Stores change and retire codes without notice. Paste the code on the retailer’s checkout page and read the conditions there, including minimum spend, payment method, and city limits. If the code is declined, the merchant’s page is the record that matters.
Signed-in members can report a coupon from its card, the same way they can report a deal. Staff can stop a live coupon, which removes it from the public feed. If a community member or sponsor edits a live coupon, it returns to pending until it is approved again.
